1. Payment - Terms & conditions
Payment for courses can be made by cheque or bank transfer.
Course manuals will be e-mailed to you after we receive complete payment. ( Our manuals are extensive, so we must ask you for a contribution towards print and postage costs of £15 if you need them as a hard copy) Please bring your manuals with you on your training day.
2. Refund policy :
Course cancellation
• All courses cancelled after receipt of manuals and up to 7 days before the course start date will be charged at 100% of the cost (ie no refund will be given)
• In the event of a genuine reason for cancelation (proof of which may be required) a request for transfer to a later date will be considered at our discretion
• In the unlikely event that your course is cancelled last minute by your tutor due to unforeseen circumstances, you shall be offered an alternative date.
3. Arriving at course on time
Please allow plenty of time to arrive punctually for your course. If you arrive at your course more than 15 minutes late, your tutor has the right to refuse your joining the class. We suggest arriving at least 15 minutes before the course.
4. What to bring with you
• your training manuals
• comfortable pair of slippers or socks
• Hair bands for long hair
• No make-up or jewelry to be worn on the day
• Please wear a uniform
* Please inform your tutor beforehand if you have any medical condition which may affect your participation during the course.
5. During the training day
• Please note that the content of all our courses and manuals is protected by copyright - you may not reproduce, modify, copy or distribute or use for commercial purposes any of the material we provide. The course material is provided only for students attending our courses and must not be used for further sharing or teaching purposes without express written permission from the Academy of Advanced Beauty.
• Our short courses are intensive and best suited to well motivated students
• We do not charge extra for one-on-one tuition.
• We expect the students to have read the manuals which they will have received prior to the course. This enables the students to get the most out of our course on the day.
• Certificates are only given when students have demonstrated full competence and understanding of the subject taught.
• To ensure good practice if we feel that any student has not reached the required standard and would benefit from further training, help and support this will be provided. We will hold back your certificate and offer you extra time completely free of charge to improve your skills.
• Please note that during the training day the students are covered by the teacher’s insurance policy.
6. Accreditation CPD and insurance cover
• All our courses are recognized and accredited with the Guild of Beauty Therapists; which will allow you to obtain insurance and provide services to the general public.
• All our courses have been awarded CPD points
7. Insurance Details
www.beautyguild.com (with our academy code) allows you to purchase discounted insurance cover.
8. Mobile Tuition Service
• We realise that it may not always be possible for you to travel to us to attend the course, so the Academy of Advanced Beauty also offers a mobile tutor service. To qualify for our service, there should be a minimum of four students who wish to participate. You will need to provide a venue, salon or private home.
• You also need to supply chairs or bed, and necessary extras (such as towels). Travel and tutor accommodation will need to be paid for by the students. Please ask for details.
9. Special Offers
• We introduce loyalty points for students per course (eg every course is 10 points giving a £10 voucher credit to be used as part of the payment for any future courses)
• Bring a friend scheme - Book and pay for two people on the same course at the same time, and you will both get a 10% discount.
• Cosmetic thermotherapy and cryotherapy can be purchased together at a special price of £180 for both courses.
