Barbara Freytag, the Principal of Academy of Advanced Beauty, is a highly trained radiographer, having worked in Poland’s top heart transplant team in the early stages of her career. Now one of the UK’s best-known aesthetic and beauty training practitioners, specialising in treatments utilising Ultrasound, Radio Frequency and other non-invasive technology, Barbara founded the Academy of Advanced Beauty in 2009 and has been closely working with leading insurance companies and regulatory bodies, having written the first wave of non-invasive treatment courses, and being one of the first people to write courses on new treatments such as Acoustic Wave Therapy and High Intensity Focused Ultrasound, to name a few. 

The combination of medical education with a thorough command of technique, safety, client care and correct machine operation, is what makes us unique.

As most new aesthetic technology has migrated from the medical world, Barbara’s medical experience has given her a considerable edge in writing courses explaining detailed core knowledge behind the treatments, what makes the treatment effective, and how to get the best results, safely. Concentrating on training students to really understand the treatment rather than selling any particular machine, has enabled Barbara to stay independent.

We are a small team, working to the highest standards. We are proud of our achievements and translate this into our training sessions where we take pride in seeing our students thrive when given individual attention and care. For the fifth year running her Academy has been nominated for the “Diamond Safety in Beauty” award in the Training, Education and Development category and has won LUX International’s Best Bespoke Beauty Training Provider – England award.
