COURSE INTRODUCTION
After puberty, fat cells remain constant in number and change their size and volume according to the amount of fat the body stores.
This fat often assumes abnormal proportions in areas such as thighs, hips, stomach and arms. Non-invasive Ultrasonic Lipo-Cavitation uses ultrasound waves to break down this excess fat. Unlike surgical lipo-suction there is no pain, incisions or recovery time.
The ultrasonic energy is delivered through the skin surface. This treatment is safe and suitable for men and women who want effective removal of excess fat without surgery. The client resumes normal activities immediately after the treatment.

Our courses are suitable for Beauty Therapists with the suitable pre-requisites (Level 3 Beauty or equivalent) and Aesthetic practitioners
NB: We expect students to have read the course materials fully prior to attending the onsite course at the Academy of Advanced Beauty
In order to graduate from all of our courses, students will need to pass a final written examination to assess their knowledge and understanding, and to pass a practical observation performing the treatment in full, including client consultation and aftercare. For Level 4 courses, after having completed the practical session at the Academy, students will be asked to complete four case studies and a 5,000-word assignment in order to complete the course
Level 4 Accredited Course certificates will be issued externally. For our Short Courses, we will provide an Academy of Advanced Beauty Diploma
The Ultrasonic Lipo-Cavitation Level 4 accredited course carries 8 credits and will qualify you for insurance cover. Some of these credits can be transferred to other courses if the subject matter overlaps. For example, if you have studied the necessary Health and Safety legislation in the Aesthetics sector, you will not need to cover this in the same amount of detail for any additional course which covers this same material
Our short courses, for those wish to learn more about the treatments without gaining an accredited Level 4 course, are two days in duration
Our Level 4 course is based on core knowledge taught on the short course but in addition includes a substantial theory component which explores the science behind the treatment further, and comprises of a three-day practical training session (rather than two days for the short course) where you will be asked to demonstrate your competence in the treatment through a series of assessments and exams
In the course, we will cover how to prepare for and carry out treatments safely, covering necessary legislation, core knowledge and science behind the treatment as well as how best to handle the equipment and maximise treatment results.

The course material was sent in advance for revision and extreme effort was put in place to ensure the course syllabus was fully addressed and revised on the training days. There was ample opportunity for practical sessions to get hands on practice and all questions were addressed with opportunity for further support after the course. I would like to thank you and Hans for accommodating me on one of the most enjoyable courses that I have ever experienced in my 30 years of medicine. I would admit that the course was also one of the most grueling that I have attended with almost 10 hours of intense studying every day for three days and topped off with a four hour examination at the end. However having successfully completed the course I feel extremely knowledgeable about the theoretical and practical aspects of radiofrequency and ultrasonic lipocavitation, as well as the complimentary therapies of cryolipolysis and pressotherapy. I thus feel confident explaining these therapies to my clients, carrying out the treatments in a safe manner, discussing the aftercare and answering any questions that may arise related to the treatments.
